I loved Torment: Reckless Desires (Dark Wolves Book 1) for the simple facts: it was fast paced, suspenseful and it kept me guessing what the characters next move would be.When Delana and Khet meet, I could feel their swirling emotions of being mates but the anguish of not being worthy as one and one not understanding, because their instinctual nature for loving mates.
Èlianne Adams is a talented author. One I will continue to read.
If you like to read paranormal books with a twist then Torment: Reckless Desires (Dark Wolves Book 1) is the right book for you. I know it was for me.

I received this book for free. Dark Wolves introduces a new kind of wolf where they use magic to protect and defend. Delana and Khet are wolves from two different worlds, but that doesn't matter to fate. The inner struggle between wolf, man and soul is just as bad as their enemies. I enjoyed this story.
4 1/2 stars. This was a different kind of shifter book. I felt like I had to hold on to my kindle as I turned pages, trying to follow the action.
You have a brave woman , willing to sacrifice everything. She believes in Khet. You have a beast that is tormented but finds strength. Over all it was steamy, exciting, and I really couldn't put it down. It was woven together with hints to how it all fit, but you weren't sure until the end. Look forward to the next one.
This was a sweet romance full of action and an incredible man. The Dark Wolves are very afraid of being evil again. Each is finding happiness now that the curse is lifted. I did not like the first series, but I am thrilled the curse was lifted in time for this series.
Yet again Author Elianne Adams has "knocked another one out of the park" with "Torment" book one of the Dark Wolves series! I found this book very emotional, exciting, hot and sexy with a couple revelations a long the way and I absolutely loved it! I love the way Elianne Adam's is branching off with these series. And I absolutely can not wait for the next book's and see where she takes this series! I wish I could give it more star's because it definitely deserves them. I'm not capable of giving this book the recognition it deserves!! Read it and you'll see for yourself.
After a lot of their pack members are killed, Delana makes a choice to invite the wolves who have returned from the Dark Lands to come take over/be part of her pack due to another pack of savage killers. Khet is afraid of who he might be. Afraid he might hurt his newly discovered mate, Delana. Definitely worth the read!
As always with Elianne's books, this one didn't disappoint. I loved it. It wasn't just another shifter story as it had Erritrol (spelling?) in it. Don't want to say too much about them and spoil anything but it's like a different species of wolf who were once cursed. I liked the concept. The heroine is very strong and smart in the story. I loved the little surprise we saw from the little boy shifter.
I agreed to review this book for a free copy. I gotta say I was surprised when I read Elianne Adams' book. It's a brilliant story of a man tormented by the darkness inside of himself in the fear that he will do terrible harm to all around him. The blessing he receives in the form of his mate is hard for him to accept at first. This causes a whole different kind of torment for both him and his mate. The author did a fantastic job of describing the stress the lovers are under without going too far and making it sappy sounding. I look forward to reading more of this author's work.
